Elephant trekking
There
are a few Elephant camps on the island and yes, you
can experience the joy of riding your own elephant
in Koh Lanta. Don't forget to bring a couple of
bananas with you.
Lanta
Marine National Park trekking
The
park is located some 6 kms from Pimalai at the
southern tip of the island at the end of a
spectacular, although bumpy, coastal drive. It's a
great walk going through fabulous trees and Gibbons
type monkeys are usually there to welcome you.
Water
Sports
Available
free of charge, are canoes, windsurfs, sailing boat
and boggy boards. There are no motorized water
sports (jet skis, water ski) available on the
island.
Islands
excursions
A
number of small islands are part of the Lanta Marine
National Park; they are protected islands and offer
great snorkelling trips! Regular excursions are
arranged throughout the week in Koh Rok, Koh Kradan,
Koh Haa, Koh Gnai where vast coral reef with
brightly colored fish and sea life can be seen. Koh
Muk is renowned for its Emerald cave; a 60 meters
long tunnel that runs through a mountain and leads
to a lagoon at the bottom of a sheer vertical shaft
in the mountain.
All
islands destination are subject to weather and sea
conditions.
Squid

A
2 hours of relaxing time & fun trying to catch a
Squid! A combination of skills hooking a squid from
one hand whilst holding a cool refreshing local beer
in the other! You catch! We BBQ!
Thai
Cooking Lessons
Our
classes have become hugely popular; Learn a few
famous recipes that you can take back home; you will
cook yourself under the guidance of one of our Head
Chef; you will also receive a recipe guide booklet,
a souvenir Pimalai cooking apron to take home and if
you do really well, our Chef will hand over to you
an official "Arroy Dee" cooking
certificate! This could lead you to set up your own
Thai restaurant back home!
Bicycle
Bicycles
are available at the resort with our compliments. A
brand new 8 kms road has now been completed slicing
through the existing jungle; up, down with some
great view points; you may also encounter the sight
of monkeys and huge lizards.
The
swimming pools, children's pool & Jacuzzi
At
the resort, a stunning 35-meters long refreshing
fresh-water infinity-edge swimming pool is waiting
for you to swim, float or enjoy the invigoration of
the Jacuzzi jets in an attached pavilion; or perhaps
you would prefer to lie on one of the sun-loungers
under the palm trees while you enjoy the sea view,
read a book, order a refreshment... or perchance to
dream.
Even
more stunning! An even longer! Set some 50-meters
above sea level, the infinity-edge pool at the
Villa's Estate offers an unrivalled 180 degree view
of the bay below; you may want to just relax and
enjoy the spectacular surroundings or if you enjoy
exercising then several 50 meters laps will
definitely keep you fit!
Young
child under 6 years old are not allowed in the large
pool and should deep in the small shallow water pool
that is allocated to them.
Meanwhile
adults can enjoy a relaxing back massage in the
Jacuzzi which is integrated in the large swimming
pool.
Fitness
centers
The
Fitness Room features small gym functions with high
quality fitness equipments to either relax or power
up yourself. You can also enjoy a superb view of Ba
Kan Tiang bay whilst exercising.
The
gym equipment includes, Lifecycle upright bike,
Stair climber, Life fitness 3 stack multi-gyms,
Adjustable Incline bench, Twin tier dumbbell rack
and a treadmill; the 900 meters long beach and the
newly concreted road that slices through the
tropical vegetation are also ideal training grounds!
