The
beaches
of St. Barth
Shell Beach : Situated
in Gustavia, at a walking distance from the Carl Gustaf
hotel, Shell beach leaves ranges of shells all along the
beach.
Lorient : Often
compared to Saint-Jean beach, Lorient beach is very much
appreciated for its environment, its small sailing boats
swinging, and its sea turtles.
Saint-Jean : This
magnificent bay is surrounded by two white sanded beaches
both protected by a coral reef. Enjoy windsurfing or just a
bathing in calm waters.
Anse des Flamands : At
the very end of a small village, you will discover the
fantastic Flamands beach, a long white sand curve.
Gouverneur : Sublime
view from the small road which will take you to one of the
most beautiful beaches of the island.
Saline : You will be
charmed by this splendid white sand beach and its turquoise
waves.
Colombier : Without a
doubt, one of the nicest beaches and an idyllic scenery of
the most beautiful beaches of the island. After 15 minutes
promenade, you will enjoy the most incredible view ... it is
worth seeing !

Gustaf's fitness room. We can also arrange yoga or dance

The
private 48-feet yacht

Available
on request for unforgettable excursions, the hotel own
motorboat can accommodate 11 people (including the skipper).
Towels and refreshments are available on board. Should you
wish to have a picnic on board, the order can be made at the
Reception desk.

Diving
Whether
you just snorkel, or prefer the prolonged submersion of
scuba, the pleasures of underwater observation are magical :
massive corals, multicolored fish, a fishing boat that sunk
a few years ago, marine turtles, ...
Windsurfing
This
activity is accessible to everyone and available on several
bays in St. Barth's, principally in Saint-Jean and Grand Cul-de-Sac.
This sport is famous on the island as a result of adequate
strong enough winds enabling you to reach high speeds. St.
Barth's is sometimes chosen by Olympic teams to train their
athletes.
Surfing
Although
the beautiful rolling waves with a crest of foam are
difficult to find, surfers know that the beast surfing spots
are the bays of Toiny, Lorient and Saint-Jean.
Fishing
From
dangling a string off the dock to big game fishing, amateurs
will spend exciting days as the catches are frequent.
Cruises
Excursions
in the Caribbean seas are available for half days, full days
or more. You will enjoy visiting St. Barth's surroundings or
some of the adjacent islands. relax while admiring the
beauty of the landscape, particularly when the sun
sets.
Water
skiing
Physical
activity, water skiing is a good way to discover while
exercising.
Jet
ski
You
can also rent a jet ski or a sea-scooter, although their
utilization is very controlled in St. Barth's as the fun of
a few should not disturb the desire for tranquility of
others.

Golf
Due
to mountainous terrain, we do not have a golf course on the island.
For those who want to give their swing some practice, they
can do it at Grand-Cul-de-Sac at the driving range. For
advances golfers, a PGA private pro offers to arrange and
bring you to Nevis, St. Kitts or Anguilla via private
jet.
Tennis
Believe
it or not, the climate is not too hot to prevent numerous
players from enjoying this active sport. Private lessons can
be organized with a tennis pro.
Volleyball
Having
the chance to practice this sport throughout the year,
licensees in volleyball take advantage of the wonderful
beaches to organize competitions.
Horseback
riding
You
can horseback ride and discover the secret nature of St.
Barth's, with your horse at a gallop on Flamands beach when
the day fades and cools down.
Hiking
St.
Barth's offers a few nice walks along which you will explore
the wonderful botanical treasures and amazing panoramic
views.

Cultural

Museums
St.
Barth's benefits from two museums. The Inner-Oceans Museum
located on the beach of Corossol. It houses a huge
collection of seashells from all over the world (one of the
5 most beautiful museums in the world). - The Wall House
Museum located on the harbor in Gustavia, it includes
objects and documents from St. Barth's past.
Arts
Local
and American artists exhibit their painting and sculpture
art work in galleries or you can also visit them in their
studio.

Cinema
There
is no real movie house, and therefore St. Barth's
implemented an open-air movie area.
Discotheques
Two
discotheques can be found in Gustavia : Le Yacht Club and Le
Casa Nikki.
