New Spa
Development
Modern
life has changed people’s expectations of a
leisure and spa experience – the “wellbeing”
lifestyle is more a way of life than a luxury in the
21st Century. As a result plans were unveiled
in 2007 after two years of planning for a new state
of the art spa costing £5 million with commencement
of building in October 2007.
This
magnificent complex will feature 12 beautiful
treatment rooms including 3 double treatment rooms,
a tranquillity room, 16 meter infinity pool, floor
to ceiling indoor waterfall, outdoor hot tub,
hydrotherapy zone, dance studio and a top of the
range gymnasium.
Carolyn
Graves, Director of Armathwaite Hall comments “We
want to make the spa a destination in its own right
and so are making a huge investment to ensure it is
one of the best spas in the country and a flagship
attraction for the Lakes. The plans are
absolutely fantastic providing a luxurious and
contemporary feel using deep purple, blue and
chocolate colours. We took inspiration from
the beauty of the area and
Lake
Bassenthwaite
to create a peaceful and tranquil place to
unwind. Externally the new spa is still very
much in keeping with the traditional appeal of
Armathwaite Hall and it is really exciting to see it
taking shape with completion due mid December
2008”
