fine dining - Connoisseurs of fine cuisine will find much to
appreciate at Armathwaite Hall. Master Chef Kevin Dowling
takes full advantage of a wealth of local seasonal produce
and Cumbrian specialties to create a variety of gastronomic
delights. His dishes draw inspiration from both traditional
English fayre and classical French cuisine, refined to
reflect today's lighter, healthier lifestyle.
The
restaurant has been accredited with one AA Rosette.
Many
years of thoughtful and knowledgeable selection of wines
have given Armathwaite Hall a cellar of distinction. Sure to
please the most discerning of palettes, and providing the
perfect compliment to chefs' culinary creations.

Lake
District Afternoon Tea
Guests
at Armathwaite Hall can enjoy a full afternoon tea service
from 2pm-5pm. Diners can choose from a selection of homemade
sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, selection of
cream cakes, tray bakes and homemade biscuits, along with a
refreshing lemon posset. The tea menu includes six
speciality leaf teas such as Lapsang Souchong from China, as
well as nine other delicious options.
Armathwaite
has been awarded the Tea Guild accolade, which recognises
only the highest standards of techniques and service.
Membership is strictly by invitation only, with just six
members in the north west of England.
Conservatory
& Lounge Lunches
Spring,
summer, autumn, winter - Conservatory and Lounge lunches are
an informal option to dining at Armathwaite Hall.
Enjoy
the magnificent views across Lake Bassenthwaite from our
recently opened Conservatory or our Lake Room, dine on the
Lake View Patio in the sunshine or on cold autumnal days
relax in front of the real log fire in the Hall Lounge.
